Theme
The purpose of the Endoscopy Course is to facilitate operating room, endoscopy center and clinic
nurses to understand the development, structure, special features, reprocessing and the assistance
procedures in Endoscopy.
Objectives
To accomplish the competence of the course, the student will demonstrate measurable skills of the following
- The infection control measure of using flexible endoscopy, including reprocessing and disinfection of endoscope.
- Basic knowledge and indications of the endoscopy procedures.
- The nursing management practice while handling endoscopes and related monitoring system pre-operatively, intra operatively and post operatively of the examination procedures.
- The student would be able to indicate the features of different flexible endoscopes.
