Membership Categories
There are four categories of membership of the PHOTO.
Voting Member
- The Founder members to the Memorandum of Association shall be the First Voting Members of the organization.
- An Ordinary Member who has successfully fulfilled an assessment, conducted or recognized by the Council in relation to the admission of Voting member and approved by the Council for his admission.
- A person who specialized and practiced in medical care industry including operating theatre industry supplier for 10 years or more and has demonstrated significant contributions to specialty services development, and in the opinion of the Council, the conduct of his practice was consistently good throughout such years, and has successfully fulfilled an assessment, conducted or recognized by the Organization in relation to the admission of Voting Member.
- Voting members are entitled to voted, to enjoy all privileges and benefits, to hold office as Council Members and to take part in all the Organization’s activities and functions. They shall pay for the entrance fee and annual subscription fees prescribed by the Council.
Ordinary Member
- Any person who has successfully completed a operating theatre related specialty course or completed a period of training, conducted or recognized by the Council in relation to the admission of members, and
- Any person who has been nominated by a Voting Member and assessed and approved by the Council for the time being.
- Ordinary Members are entitled to enjoy all privileges and benefits and to take part in all the Organization’s activities except to vote and to hold office as Council Member. They shall pay for the entrance fee and annual subscription fees prescribed by the Council.
Associate Member
- Any person who engaged in operating theatre education or in any study or other activity which is in the nature of continuing operating theatre education and/or if the Council is satisfied that he is interested in such study or activity and approved his application.
- Associate Members shall enjoy all privileges and benefits and to take part in all the Organization’s activities except to vote and to hold office as Council Member. They shall pay for the entrance fee and annual subscription fees prescribed by the Council.
Honorary Member
- Person of eminence or any person, who has rendered outstanding services to the art or science of operating theatre industry or to the Organization, may be admitted as a Honorary Member by the council.
- They shall enjoy all privileges and benefits and to take part in all the Organization’s activities except to vote and to hold office as Council Member. They are not required to pay any entrance fee and annual subscription fees and their membership are for life.
