PHOTO Operating Room Basic Infection Control Course 2019
Theme
The purpose of the Operating Room Basic Infection Control Course is for nurses currently working in operating theatres, endoscopy centers and clinics, who acquire surgical gloves selection, wound drains, waste management and surgical draping & gown, OR setting, cleaning, isolation and test, Surgical Site infection prevention knowledge to ensure safe practice during surgical procedures.
Objectives
At the end of the course, participants should be able to demonstrate measurable knowledge and skills of
- Understanding the priniples of wound
- Applications and types of wound drain
- Proper care for wound drainage
- Introduction of gloves
- Guidance on selection of surgical gloves
- Introduction of fluld waste management
- Standards and practices of fluid waste management
- Transmission of Infectious Disease on Fire safety in OR
- Introduction to surgical drapes and gowns
- Selection of Drapes and Gowns
